Headshots that match.

A team page falls apart when half the portraits were shot on a phone by a window. I photograph everybody the same way, in one session, so the set holds together.

What a headshot session looks like

I arrive early and build a small studio in whatever room you can spare. Two lights, a backdrop, and enough space for somebody to stand two metres from the camera. It takes about twenty minutes to set up and the same to clear away.

People come through one at a time on a booking sheet, usually between meetings. Nobody has to block out a morning. I direct as we go, because almost everyone says they hate having their picture taken and almost everyone is fine once somebody tells them what to do with their hands.

Why consistency matters more than any single portrait

A leadership page is read as a group, not as twelve separate pictures. When the lighting, background and crop are the same across the set, the page looks deliberate. When they are not, it looks like the company could not organise a photographer, which is the opposite of what the page is for.

That is why I keep the setup on file. When you hire six people in March, they can be photographed against the same background under the same lights, and they will sit beside the existing team without any visible join.

What you get afterwards

Every selected frame is edited individually: colour, exposure, and a light retouch that removes the distraction of a stray hair or a shine on the forehead without turning anyone into a waxwork. Files arrive in a private online gallery, ready for LinkedIn, the website, the annual report and the press pack, with full commercial rights and no per-use licensing.

Where I work

I am based in South Cambridgeshire and cover Cambridge and the rest of East Anglia without a travel charge. For companies with several sites, I travel further and keep the setup identical at each one, which is usually the whole point of the exercise.

Common questions

How much do corporate headshots cost?

A headshot session is charged at my normal rate: £180 for the first hour, £100 for each hour after, plus £10 per employee photographed. A two-hour session is £280. Editing, retouching and gallery delivery are included.

How many people can you photograph in a day?

A full day is 8 hours of shooting. With a booking sheet and people arriving on time, a day comfortably covers a large team. Tell me the headcount and I will tell you the hours it needs.

Do you come to our office?

Yes. The studio is portable: lights, stands and a backdrop go up in a spare meeting room in about twenty minutes. You can also come to a studio if your office has no room to spare.

What should people wear?

Whatever they would wear to meet a client. Plain colours photograph better than busy patterns, and it helps if the team roughly agrees a level of formality beforehand so the set hangs together.

Will new starters match the existing set?

Yes. I keep the lighting setup and the background on file, so somebody photographed next year sits on the same team page as somebody photographed today without looking pasted in.

Tell me the date

Send the date, the venue and roughly what you need. I will come back with availability and a price, usually the same day.
