Why consistency is the whole job
A pitch document with twelve partner portraits shot in six different styles tells a prospective client something about how the firm runs. It is unfair, and it is exactly what people conclude.
One session, one setup, one background. When somebody joins next year they are photographed the same way and dropped into the same grid.
The building, and the people in it
Beyond portraits, most firms need the rest: reception, the meeting room that looks best in the afternoon, two people talking in a way that does not look staged, the view from the top floor. This is the material that fills a website and a bid.
It is also the material most likely to contain something confidential. Tell me which screens, documents and client marks must not appear, and I will compose around them on the day.
Working around a chargeable diary
Partners have fifteen minutes, not an afternoon. A booking sheet with slots, a room near their desks, and I keep to it. The people who are hardest to schedule get the first slots, because they are also the people most likely to be pulled into something.
Common questions
Can you photograph in an office with client confidentiality rules?
Yes. Tell me in advance what cannot be in frame: screens, documents, name boards, particular meeting rooms. I compose around it during the shoot rather than retouching it out afterwards, which is safer for everybody.
How long do partner portraits take?
About ten to fifteen minutes each once the studio is set up. A morning covers a substantial group. The scheduling matters more than the shooting: a booking sheet keeps everyone moving.
